Warwork News (1941-1945)

British Paramount newsreels spanning much of World War II

Main image of Warwork News (1941-1945)

Sponsored by the Ministry of Supply, Warwork News was released fortnightly for distribution in factories, where they were shown at special lunchtime screenings.

Items on current events, military victories and new inventions were often linked with factory production, thus stressing the importance of the 'factory front', however unglamorous and unexciting it might have seemed to the workers at times.
