Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

Watched by a crowd of onlookers, four men stand around a post to which is attached a ball on a piece of string. The post is marked with a chalk mark and the men hit the ball with batons such that it wraps itself around the pole. Once the string has wrapped itself around the post below the mark, the match is over and the ball is unwound and the game begins again. Two and a half matches are shown.
