1. Turn round

A film expressing congratulations on the new records set for fast "turnarounds" of ships by British dockers reacting to the pressure of the Battle of the Atlantic (some captured U-boat film). Over an introduction to "Killer" Quinn and his gang, the commentary says "dockers don't want Fascism" and that they are are anxious to keep the advantages they had in peacetime.

2. Blessings in disguise

The removal for scrap of the railings around parks and squares is a "Blessing in Disguise" - if the resultant freedom is not abused, it may even be retained after the war.

3. Soviet cartoons - high praise from Low

The British cartoonist David Low (creator of Colonel Blimp) talks about Russian war cartoons, and about "lasting friendship and understanding" between the two allies.

4. The stars look up

A short item "for the workers of Britain" by Vic Oliver, Bebe Daniels and Ben Lyon, the "Hi Gang" cast.
