In the Classroom

A motorist goes to extreme lengths to evade the law, in this early trick film.

The '?' Motorist is one of the more eccentrically-plotted 'trick films' made by Paul's Animatograph Works in the early years of the twentieth century and one of a number of collaborations between R.W. Paul, a leading British film pioneer, and W.R. Booth, a stage magician and illusionist.

In this charming short, an un-named speeding motorist is so keen to avoid the law that he travels to and around the rings of Saturn, before returning to Earth to cause more mischief!
