Educated at Cranleigh School, and a former video producer, Eric Fellner is now co-chairman with Tim Bevan of Working Title, one of the most successful production companies in 1980s and 1990s Britain. He shared a BAFTA and an Oscar nomination for Elizabeth (d. Shekhar Kapur, 1998).

He worked as (co-)producer on such films as Sid and Nancy (d. Alex Cox, 1986), Pascali's Island (UK/US, d. James Dearden, 1988) and Hidden Agenda (d. Ken Loach, 1990) before joining Working Title, with whom he has been involved in US films such as Dead Man Walking (US, d. Tim Robbins, 1995).
