The career of Dr Frank N. Furter, the mad scientist of the cult stage show and film version, The Rocky Horror Picture Show (d. Jim Sharman, 1975), belongs only tangentially here. Cheshire-born Tim Curry appeared in three other British films, The Shout (d.Jerzy Skolimowski, 1978), The Ploughman's Lunch (d. Richard Eyre, 1983) and Sorted (UK/US, d. Alex Jovy, 2000). The rest of his prolific career has been spent on stage (he played Mozart in Amadeus on Broadway), as a recording artist, on TV and international films, such as Oscar (US, d. John Landis, 1991) and Home Alone 2 (US, d. Chris Columbus, 1992).
