Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

No main title. People, mainly boys, coming off a steel chain footbridge, waving and acting up to the camera. The same bridge exit from a different angle as people crowd over the bridge; including a sandwich board man advertising the Dumfries Show and the Lyceum Theatre. Same bridge exit from different angle as crowds cross over, most looking at and acting up for camera. People walk along a cobbled street, either going to or from work, a car passes ; same street, different angle, similar scenes.

Note: the film of the people walking along the street may be of a different date as the dresses are slightly shorter than those appearing at the beginning of the film.
