Cyclical year in the life of the Taggart family, as they take up residence at Marywell Farm.

Show full synopsis

Having sold up the family granite business in Aberdeen, the Taggart family bought this farm in Deeside and moved away from the city for the rural life. This home movie records their first experiences of country living.

In the clip, family members and hired workers are seen going about core farming activities: ploughing, sowing and harvesting. Nannie and her daughter Nan Taggart were enthusiastic amateur cine enthusiasts, members of Aberdeen Cine Society. They chronicled family life, work and leisure.
