Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

Jim and his girlfriend Hazel are driving in the country with Hazel's child Natalie playing in the back seat. When Natalie says she is bored, Jim offers her a sweet, but she says she never accepts sweets from strangers. Natalie watches as a wasp crawls up Jim's neck and stings him, causing him to pull the car off to the side of the road. Natalie squashes the wasp against the window, killing it.

As Jim starts to change a flat tyre, Natalie runs into a field of rape wearing Jim's jacket. Jim's car keys are in the jacket, so he begins to look for Natalie in the field. Natalie 'swims' through the field of rape as Jim stumbles around, searching for her.

Jim follows a trail of Natalie's clothing, and when he finds her, she is naked. Natalie wants him to carry her back to the car while she pretends to sleep, but he refuses and, embarrassed, returns to the car without her.

Hazel finds the jacket with no keys inside, but meanwhile Natalie has returned to the car and stands naked on the roof with the keys in her hand. Jim asks Natalie why she is tormenting him and shouts at her to return the keys. Hazel slaps Jim, as a car passes by watching the action. Natalie remarks that she can see the sea.
