A guardsman on sentry duty meets a young woman. He quickly breaks from his march and kisses her. Seeing an officer approaching, he hides her in his guardhouse. The officer passes without noticing. The guard thinks he is in the clear but the officer turns and spots the woman. He tells the man to move aside and beckons the woman to emerge. When she does so he kisses her. The guard objects but the officer looks at him sternly.
