"WAR OFFICE TEST. Hampshire villagers experience the `joys' of playing hosts to billeted troops - the garrison fire-engine charges a taxi-cab and is rendered hors de combat". Soldiers in village street standing by a field kitchen and being served food. Soldiers sorting out tents and kit. Four soldiers examine a notice on a gate marked `Billet' and enter the garden. Group of soldiers smoking and relaxing outside a house. Mangled wreckage of a car, onlookers stand around it. A fire-engine rammed into a car. The car is badly damaged. A large number of onlookers survey the accident.
