"KHAKI SPORTS. Men in training taking part in Sack race and a Full Equipment Race. Great amusement is derived from the Pillow Fight". Equipment and uniforms are piled in rows on the grass. The soldiers put on puttees, put on and button jackets, put on hats and put kitbags over their shoulders. They turn and begin to run to the finishing tape [the race after dressing is not seen]. Long shot of crowds watching the race. Finish of a sack race. The winner and others are met by soldiers in uniform who check them off on a list. Two men in swimsuits sitting opposite each other on a pole which is erected over a tarpaulin filled with water. They hit each other with pillows filled with sand. One soldier drops his pillow and uses his hand to push the other soldier off the pole; but he swings round underneath the pole still clutching the sack.
