Synopsis

"GATHERING UP THE WRECKAGE The debris being carefully gathered up and loaded on to lorries, every fragment is of value in reconstructing the craft". Two shots of men pushing large roll of twisted wire. Men loading twisted metal of a heavier type on to a lorry which then drives away. Men seated on metal at back of lorry posing for the camera. "A collection of souvenirs of the destroyed Zeppelin. The cartridge cases were exploded by the terrific heat". Small parts laid out on newspaper.

Note: the L.21 Zeppelin was shot down over Cuffley (near Enfield) by Flight-Lieutenant W.L. Robinson on the night of September 2nd. Robinson was subsequently awarded the V.C.
