Synopsis

Main title. "Mr. Daniels, Secretary of the U.S.A. Navy, fires the gun, signalling the start of the race". Pan right of dockside scene. Large sign reads `Public Landing'. A crowd on the dockside watches two large motor boats docked by the landing. One of the boats is named `....Dream'. Medium long shot of a group of dignitaries including Josephus Daniels (with beard).
