"OPENING THE OYSTER FISHERY". Councillor A.G. Aldridge pulls in first dredge and partakes of the oysters in the catch". Medium shot of a dredger (a paddle boat) crowded with men standing on the boat. Some men, including Councillor Aldridge in his official robes, lean over the side and pull in nets. Cllr Aldridge brings up his net. A man standing at the front of the crowd is also dressed in ceremonial robes and holds a mace. Travelling shot of the boat sailing away, a small rowing boat in tow.
