Synopsis

Main title. "Derricks pumping the hull dry and raising the steamer Eastland at Chicago. Over 1000 people lost their lives through this boat turning turtle". In the docks of the River Chicago the steamer can be seen floating upside down with the tug/salvage ship 'Favorite' at its side. In the foreground a 'police river and harbor service' boat passes.
