Synopsis

An elderly woman walks along the street pulling a shopping trolley. She stops at a letterbox and posts a letter addressed to 'Plain Brown Packets Ltd, Wardour Street, Soho, London'.

Back at home she makes a cup of tea. Her canary swings on its perch before dropping dead. The doorbell rings and a package arrives. She inflates the contents with a bicycle pump. It turns out to be an inflatable elderly man. She places the teacup in his hand, and a pipe in the other. Pulling a string on his back, she produces the noise of drinking and spluttering. A fly buzzes across his face, but he doesn't react. She hugs him too passionately.

A "pop" is heard, and she puts the deflated man in the dustbin.
