While Pimple lies sleeping on a park bench, some boys pin a notice on his back saying he has the smallpox. As a result Pimple unwittingly causes a general panic. He first encounters a Jewish type who in his anxiety to get away from Pimple drops some money. Pimple then uses this to go to a riverside café where the waiters, on seeing the sign, run away without him paying. From there Pimple goes to the music hall. He walks in to the auditorium, where a girl is dancing on stage and the orchestra are playing. The audience see the sign and all run out, followed by the orchestra. Puzzled, Pimple leaves the theatre and is asked for a match by two medical students. They rush off to fetch the doctor and don white coats. [Incomplete]
