Local people dressed in 11th Century costumes, some as Normans (?), carrying decorated shields and swords, and some as Britons carrying pikes and scythes. A group of women in costume remain on the fringe of the events.

They enact a confrontation between the two groups. A procession of men and boys carrying flags and standards of the three towns march past lines of British men and women.

A slow pan of standard bearers standing at intervals; an old man wearing a long beard and rich robes stands before them in the centre of the area. The procession of standard-bearers continues.
