Mining Review 3/7: Welsh Rarebit (1950)

Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

Clips from the Ealing Studios film A Run For Your Money are followed by this conclusion (the commentary is reproduced in full):

When you see this film, you'll remember that this year Wales beat England at Twickenham ground for the first time since 1933, with W.B.Cleaver and Cliff Davies, two Welsh miners, in the team. We hope to see crowds like this at Swansea for the Miners' Rugby Football Match between England and Wales in April. This is a date to remember - whether it's mining or rugby football you can depend on Wales to give you a run for your money!
