Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

Five and a half minutes from Paddington to Birmingham Snow Hill, in the driver's cab of the Blue Pullman, to the accompaniment of Johann Strauss's 'Perpetuum Mobile': the camera makes the journey at a speed of about 960 mph! Inside the train, passengers eat and drink, sleep or read, oblivious of the speed at which they travel.
