George Mackay, a miner, finishes his shift at Rothes Colliery. He puts his lamp away and goes to the showers. George and his colleagues eat in the canteen. He boards a bus and heads for Glenrothes New Town. Map of town. Shots of plans and drawings for construction. Construction site.
