In the early 1920s Topical Budget was allied with the Daily Sketch newspaper, and competitions were often carried across the two media. This themed beauty show demonstrates how conceptions of beauty were being inspired by Hollywood film actresses, and (sadly) demonstrates the poor state of British teeth at the time.
