After several attempts, Evelyn writes to her fiancé concerning an argument they have had and demanding an apology by return of post otherwise their romance is finished.

Meanwhile her fiancé is already writing a letter of apology. When it comes to writing the address he is unsure whether the postal district is N or NW but risks putting NW - the wrong choice.

Having not received the letter Evelyn begins writing to her fiancé saying that she is returning her engagement ring. Just in time, the postman arrives, the letter having been delayed in the post because of the incorrect postal address.

Evelyn and her fiancé spend a happy weekend swimming and boating, while the postman emphasises that the right address is needed for prompt delivery. Evelyn and her fiancé embrace.
