King George V in naval uniform and Queen Mary climb some wooden steps with their entourage and enter a building. The King stops to talk to the crowd, joined by the Queen, and they walk on. After saying farewells, they get into a car.

The King and Queen are at the shipbuilding yard talking to managers and then workers. They are shown around the yard and watch some riveting. The shipyard workers vow "We will deliver".

Workers on the bow of a ship cheer the royal couple, who are greeted on the quayside. They talk to a veteran in uniform, and walk past cheering workers. The King says that he feels honoured to meet so many of the men who have worked so conscientiously for forty and fifty years. He shakes a worker's hand.

The King, Queen and their entourage walk through the shipyard and talk to officers on a bridge. On the deck of a ship, they greet the crowds on the quayside.
