A title explains that the three great beacons of the Malverns were the site of ancient battles, then shows in turn the three beacons. First, a couple look at the view from the top of the Worcestershire Beacon, on which is a troposphere. Second, Great Malvern, with the Priory prominent. A horse and cart is driven through the Abbey Gateway, revealing St Anne's Wells, with several men outside. Happy Valley is shown from higher ground descending to woodland scenery on slopes of the Herefordshire Beacon and British Camp.

A journey through the wooded lanes and cottages of the Malverns. The exterior of Eastnor Castle is shown from castle grounds and over the lake. A view of the castle reflected in the lake is followed by a sunset described as 'crimson' in a quote from a poem by John Davidson.
