Synopsis

Albert Square, Manchester. The location of Manchester on a map. A boy addresses a post card to Graffham and posts it in Manchester.

The postbox is emptied and its contents sorted at Newton St. Post Office. The mail for Sussex is bundled together. The stages of the journey to Graffham are indicated on the map.

In Graffham village, the mail van approaches the grocer's shop, which acts as a post office. There, the postman and postmaster sort out the local mail. The postman delivers mail on his bicycle to Graffham Court and to a farm. The post card from Manchester, addressed to Tegleaze Farm, he delivers on foot.
