Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

A man collects specimens from a pond and takes them home to his microscope. Under the microscope he sees various plants and animal pond life, including the water flea, cyclops, cypris, water slugs and vaulters. The circulation of the blood and movement of the digestive systems are seen in the tadpole and the circulation of plasma in pond weed.

Note: The catalogue also mentions other specimens, including rotifers, vorticella, the volvox globator, the hydra and amoeba, which are missing from the surviving print.
