The French President, Armand Fallières, and his retinue disembark from his ship, the Leon Gambetta, at Dover on May 25th, at the start of his state visit to Great Britain. French sailors and Grenadier Guards stand in informal groups on the quay. The President drives away in an open landau, accompanied by Prince Arthur of Connaught.
