Members of the United States Air Force Band arrive at the venue for their concert in Liverpool, the Philharmonic Hall, and are greeted by RAF officials. As they unload £5,000 worth of musical instruments from the bus, they are watched by curious local children.

Captain George S. Howard conducts the Band at the concert at the Philharmonic Hall in front of a large audience. Former Metropolitan opera star Sergeant Glenn Darwin's solos include Verdi's 'Lacerato Spirito' and a song called 'Song of the Open Road'.
