London Zoo chimpanzees have their famous tea party.

Show full synopsis

According to the title card of this Topical Budget item, "Afternoon tea is taken by the 'Ladies and Gentlemen' of the Zoo with as much formality as in Mayfair." Yes, it's the traditional chimpanzees' tea party, a perennially popular attraction for children, who are seen here admiring a group of four being waited on by their keeper.

After the meal is over, the chimps politely hand over their plates prior to being given a drink, with which they (allegedly) proceed to toast their audience - "Cheerio everybody!"
