Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

A family of great tits are observed in a purpose built nesting-box in a garden. Nine eggs are laid, seven are hatched and the development of the family is followed stage by stage. The chicks are fed by the parents until it is time for them to leave the nest. In springtime, the chicks fly off onto a branch and wait for the mother bird flying back and forth with food. All but one of the chicks lose their balance and fall off the branch.
