Title: "Winter on Way from USA? If so, let us hope we shan't be 'snowed under' as they have been here". Telephone wires hang with the weight of snow. "Supposing the Thames were like this -"; passenger ferries and other vessels make their way through semi-frozen waters. Commuters massed on the decks wave at the camera as the ferry comes in to dock. "Enough ter 'freeze yer marrer!'"; deckhands clear snow from the riggings of a freight liner. "But there are enjoyable methods of keeping warm": a ski-jumping contest, an ice-skating couple.
