Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

Trees blossom, buds bloom and animals and farmers work the farm-land together. The narrator (a child) begins to survey the scenes of spring.

Young lambs in pens roll around, fall over and suckle their mothers. Chicks hatch from their eggs. Outside, men are planting bulbs in the shadow of daffodil-laden hills.

Piglets run in the yard, crowd in a sty and play together. Rabbits hide in hay; ducks splash on a muddy farmyard floor; bees rest on Honeysuckle.

Meanwhile, children play. A girl sits inside a massive daisy chain, kids bicycle, run and skip. Children swing higher and higher on a swing.
