Synopsis

Warning: screenonline full synopses contain 'spoilers' which give away key plot points. Don't read on if you don't want to know the ending!

A little girl in a black dress and with a black bob haircut appears and disappears into surreal landscapes. The different settings, combining elements of fantasy and reality, are painted in bright primary colours against stark black and white backgrounds.

All the images blend into one another, transforming constantly: different pairs of hands create and take away; a little bee turns into a dark cloud-like bee-swarm, taking the girl into different beehives; layers of red and white cover the girl like curtains; a beekeeper metamorphoses into a giant creature. When the girl shrinks to the size of a fly, another insect takes the girl by the hands and dances with her. Finally, they sit on a seesaw, bobbing slowly up and down.
