Airship Destroyer, The (1909)
 

Synopsis

Enemy airships prepare for an atack on England. An inventor declares his love for his sweetheart, they embrace. He asks her father for her hand in marriage, but is refused. The inventor returns to his workshop in despair. He is roused by his assistant who tells him of the appraoch of the airships. The inventor and his assistant ready their aerial torpedo. The airships drop bombs on an armoured car, a railway signal box and a town which is set on fire. A biplane tries to shoot down the airship but is itself shot down. A bomb is dropped on the home of the sweetheart. A boy tells the inventor who is working on the missle at the launch site. He rushes to the house and rescues his sweetheart, but her father is dead. They return to the launch site and ready the missile. It is launched and by guiding it, they destroy the airship. The couple embrace.
