An old curio dealer watches as a cupboard opens and the top half of a lady crosses the room followed by the bottom half. Just as the old man tries to put his arm around her waist she changes into a negress. He shuts her back into the cupboard.

On opening the cupboard again he is confronted by an Egyptian mummy, which in turn dissolves into a skeleton. Three gnomes appear and after doing a dance they become one. This last one is pushed into a jar, whereupon a cloud of smoke arises, obscuring everything. Through this smoke a head seems to come nearer and nearer, causing the old man to flee in terror.
