SYMBOLISM

  • What images does the filmmaker use to represent 'England' in the opening sequence? Why?
  • What do students notice about the title graphic? What does the use of the English flag, in conjunction with the title, imply?

SETTING

  • How does the filmmaker use Mary's home to create a sense of her character?
  • How does the filmmaker use the setting to create a sense of anticipation while we watch the hunt prepare to set off?
