Sir Roger Casement, a distinguished member of the British consular service, became an ardent Irish nationalist and sought German support for Irish independence leading up to the Easter Rising. Following his conviction for treason, he was hanged on 3 August. The film shows the outside of the court but does not have film of Casement himself.
