Michael Collins' fight against the 'Irregulars' at the Four Courts in Dublin.

Show full synopsis

Though marred slightly by nitrate deterioration to the original film, this film of the fighting in Dublin between the forces of the Free State and rebels holed up in the Four Courts building is as remarkable as Topical Budget's claims for it. Never before had a British cinema audience been brought so close to such fighting - and so close to home. Notice that the shot of sandbags and broken windows has been reused from The Dublin Rebellion film of 6 May 1916 (Topical Budget 245-2).
