A propaganda film made by the Hepworth company for the recently established Ministry of Information, this was one in a series of short films attempting to boost morale and urging people to do their bit for the war effort. Others from the series included The Secret (1918), suggesting how to use potatoes instead of suet in cooking; The Leopard's Spots (1918), an anti-German film showing a German soldier maltreating a women and child; and Anna (1918), advocating the purchase of war bonds. These films, in many ways, were a precursor to the World War II films covering similar topics, which were to be produced by the government via a newly fashioned Ministry of Information.
