In each edition of Spotlight On... we take an existing Screenonline collection of films and asks a range of subject teachers to develop resources around the various featured films and extracts.
So far, we've looked at a fantastic collection of animated short films, that includes the innovative A is for Autism, as well as a group of films and programmes that deal with the ever controversial topic of housing. The ever-popular Austen adaptations have also appeared under the spotlight and teachers have explored the wonderful, sometimes weird world of the Topical Budget newsreel.
This edition focuses on the history of coalmining as captured on screen.
